Bele is kerül a kosárba ez sokat sejtető “varázspor”, hiszen a “rafinéria” antikolt csengésével nagymamáink konyhai zsargonját idézi, és a kiejthetetlen, vélhetőleg valóban francia elnevezés kulináris utazásra csábít minket. Igen nagy buzgalommal fordítjuk meg a tasakot, hogy végre a hozzávalókat is megvásároljuk, miközben -mintegy a Champs-Élysées-n- száguldunk a polcok között a zöldségespult felé. Ekkor azonban egy valóságos csoda tárul a szemünk elé, (amely még afölötti döbbenetünket is meghaladja, hogy tudniillik a zacskó tartalma tartósítószertől és ízfokozótól mentes…)

…hiszen nem kevesebbről van itt szó, mint hogy laikus ember számára érthetetlen folyamatok következtetében (vélhetőleg) a cukkini meglepő változáson megy át, hogy a tányérunkra végül egy ízletes padlizsános egytálétel kerüljön!

Nem is marad itt más kérdés, mint hogy “ki a hülye?”

Így aztán az ember felhúzott szemöldökkel leül a net elé, és megnézi, hogy mit is jelent pontosan ez a “rafinéria” szó…

The prize for the winner: a pack of fine beer

I was surprised because he could hide for 12 years and Serbia denied that he was in the country and now they (exactly who?) caught him on a bus near the capital.

I’m delighted because he’s responsible for the death of thousands of people in Bosnia and he might get what he deserved if he gets a proper sentence. Yes, MIGHT and IF because Milosevic never got a proper sentence and died proudly – never regretting a thing – in the prison.

It’s an open secter that the EU is manipulating the Balkan countries to do the things the EU-way by flashing the opportunity of joining the EU before them. It works well so far, but I keep on wondering why the EU wants so badly to sit on the Gunpowder Barrel again…

Some final thoughts:

1. I really appriciate that people left the flags on their cars even after the team had lost. That’s the supportive attitude I really miss in Hungary.

2. No matter how far the Germans get, we KNOW Croatia is better, because they beat them!

June 8, Slavonija, 9 am. People are running around in the red-white checkboard desing T-shirts, shorts, caps, scarfs – you name it, they have it. (a farmer stands proudly in his gateway, while the national colors flash out between the sleeves of his cardigan.) The cars are dressed with small national flags (one had a flag in each window). Flags come with the daily newspaper. Even a cartoon character is teaching kids how to play football on the billboard.  All is set on part of the fans.

The match is lame. All the excitement is caused by the Austrians – but they’re not skilled enough to change to course of event. So Croatia, congrat for the win, but you’ll have to do better than in this game…

So this autherizes me to comment yesterday’s match between Croatia and Hungary (even though I haven’t seen the first half)

I was happy to notice that it was 1:1, when I switched on the TV. “Wow, we’re good” – I thought. So I waited for Replay, because he scores the most goals (OK, it was a good ol’ bad joke). Anyways my suspicion was growing as the Croatian National Television was hestant to show the goals during the second half… Finally the scoreboard was show, with the same, Croatian name under each goal. 

And that’s alright. What is NOT alright is the playing style of our players! It’s OK, go ahead and play aggressively. BUT only if you KNOW how to play, and you don’t risk to hurt the players of a team that will eventually play in EURO 2008 (while you were too lame to make it there)! How come I see people pushing around each other and referee separeting people to stop fights, while supposedly it’s “a friendly match”?
